The Magnificent Snowy Owl
I took these pictures of the snowy owls a few years ago in Canada. It has been very satisfying experience clicking this awesome bird. The male snowy is all white in color and much harder to find. It is also constantly harassed by the female snowy who has dark spots and bigger in size. Unlike many other owls, this bird hunts during day time in wide open terrains. They are usually perched on posts along the roads and can spend a good part of their day sitting and waiting for their most common meal the vole (which looks like a small mouse).
